I’m a mom. My daughter is 15 and she is brilliant, compassionate, and amazes me every single day. My partner has a 7 year old daughter and she is delightful, loving, and thoughtful. We have only two kids… so far.
I’m a counterpart. My partner’s best, most endearing quality is his compassion for others and unfailing ability to love me even at my worst. He is also quite gifted at strategy games, much to my chagrin. I’m really not sure how I got so lucky.
I’m a teacher. I have taught speech, debate, theatre, ESL, and English. I currently teach English I and II. I love, LOVE, LOVE my students. This solitary fact keeps me in a career that is in so many ways stressful beyond belief.
I’m a feminist. I believe in equality for everyone.
I’m a fitness advocate and enjoy lifting weights.
I’m a writer. I’ve resisted the need to write (for that is exactly what it is, a need) for too long. Writing is both cathartic and purposeful. It is a big part of who I am.
I desperately long for the few days I might spend each year on the beach.
